Guided Fly Fishing Trips in Slovenia with Beattie Outdoor Productions:

Our Company, Beattie Outdoor Productions, has teamed up with Miha Ivanc (sport fishing manager for the Fisheries Research Institute of Slovenia) to create a US based guide opperation traveling to Slovenia. We will be offering our service in the spring (May) and fall (October) of 2008. Our mission as a guide service is simple: to create customized fishing expeditions for small groups of anglers, designed to showcase the best fly fishing, scenery and food/wine in the country. This is as personalized as it gets! On this website you will find information about the fish, rivers, lodging, guides, etc. We've made it as interactive as possible, so be sure to check out the video, photos, and slideshows!

We have created basic fishing packages based on a week long fishing excursion. While we feel these packages offer the best of Slovenian fishing and travel, we are happy to create customized fishing vacations!

Traveling to Slovenia

Traveling to Slovenia is rather easy and you have some options:

1) We recommend flying into the captial city of Ljubljana. From there you are a short charter flight (45 min) to our fishing destination or, if you don't like small planes, we will pick you up at the airport and it is a two hours drive.

2) While flying into the capital is the easiest, our fishing destination is only 2.5 hours from Venice, Italy. It is also possible for clients to fly into Venice, spend a night or two to get over any jetlag, then be picked up and driven to Slovenia.

A Quick Note to Explain Packages and Pricing:Our Slovenia Fly Fishing trips are competely different from the "Lodge Based" trips many anglers are accounstomed to. All packages are priced with and without meals included becuase we've found that some anglers woud rather eat on their own budget, plain and simple. Also, prices reflect the extremely high license prices on Sovenian Rivers (oftentimes around 100 euros a day or higher). We also have a wide variety of lodging options - from the best Slovenia has to offer...to more modest "trout bum" type lodging options. We're willing to work out a travel package that suits your needs!
